Kentucky Derby Engen
This is most of the horses run in the Engen part of Energy. I think I included most of the horses one may consider. If using Energy I always run the horses through ENGEN to see the horses raw and unadjusted.
Most of the horses seem close in TE from top to bottom. The numbers after the horses are the pacelines selected which I do when running Energy. Last edited by Houndog; 05-03-2007 at 11:39 AM. Reason: Adding to post |

Don't some of those median percentages look too high for 10 furlongs? Scat , Stormello, No Biz?

Yes I do
Yes they look hight to me. I just put most of the horses in the ENGEN to get a look at these things as well as Total Energy Differences. THis is a starting point for me tossing horses.

I only found two horses that had a med above 68 (Nobiz & Storme).
I put in every horse's highest total energy race and found some that probably should be claimers. One thing that I did find interesting was that in Curlin's three races the energy was greater in each fraction in each of his subsequent races. 1st fraction to 1st fraction and etcetera. He has the highest total energy of all from his last race and I watched the reruns several times and it didn't seem like he was pushed too hard. Is this horse going to become another Secretariat? Is name is Gennaro. Is just being entered in the Derby, in such short notice. As you can see my horse has 5 (five) legs. Unusual for a 3 years old colt, but the trainer, Vito Santucci told me to bet the farm. So, for all you horse racing fan, don't be afraid to put a little wager on Gennaro. He's a lock.
