Thanks for a great response.....

The reason I asked my question is that I see too many posters seemed focus on collecting softwares, versus digging a trench and rolled up our sleeves and work races with a mentor or thru self discovery as Sartin would say...sometimes, the answers are indeed available to us if We learn to use the full potential of the programs and concepts that are at our disposal.....

I will light a candle to St.Martin de los Porres for you and your wife...please get well...

Take care....

Hi Bill,

Great job breaking down that race on our blog! When you say the Taulbot Pace Calc are you using the hand held or the software? It's nice to come up with the same selections as you! Leads me to believe I'm doing something right I'm taking a shot at the Gulfstream meet using the Taulbot pace calc software listing my daily selections over on PA. I hope I can repeat Saratoga's performace with the software. Fingers crossed!!

Best regards to you and your wife. If I can be of any help, just shout, neighbor!

Hi Tom,

It was because of your very informative posts on PaceAdvantage that I decided to look into the Pace Calculator. I believe it was you that posted the American Turf magazine articles that the doc wrote that piqued my interest. Please note the section where he explains the usage of his SSR (Sartin Speed Rating).
Additionally, I was very impressed with your success using the Pace Calculator software.
I had the original Pace calculator but sold it. I also have the version 3.0 of the software that won't work on my Vista 64 Laptop. So, I opted to use the AmerVar (DOS) software and it works very well. I adapted it to a few other tools that I use to single out the best playable races.

Tom, thanks for the kind words and generous offer.
