I stink at the matchup so take that into consideration.
E #1 #2 EP #8 #10 P #9 SP #3 thru #7 #2 is the pacesetter 23 2/5 47 4/5 I think the value is #10 Middle Of The Nite. That's a win & place bet for me. I'll also key #10 with 2-5-7 for exotics. Good luck, everyone. Or, as Bill would say, "Good skill." |

My take on this is :
2 - Bishop of Nola EE=1/VDC=3 3 - Versailles RDSS Contender. I like his late POR move 6 - TwoJohns LL=1/ VDC=2 Choosing amounst NewPace and RDSS is like going to a chinese restaurant 2 from Column A and 1 from Column B. Ernie |

Twinspires indicates this race is going to be run at 1 1/8 miles on the turf with the 1A scratched.

Spa 7/31 Race #6 Pick
With the 1A scratched, there's less early speed; but there is still plenty of it. The 2, 8, and 10 are all early and I'm tossing them. I have the 3 and 5 as being too late positionally and they are tossed. This leaves me with the
4, 6, 7, and 9. The 4 looks like he may get caught up too early leaving the 6, 7, and 9. At Saratoga in the last few days on the turf, several winners have been the 3rd fraction horse that survived the matchup. This leaves me with the 6 who had a 28.4 at a 1 1/16 miles and the 7 who ran a 29.3 in his last. The 6 also had some slower 3rd fractions. Two back, the 7 bobbled at the break. My choice is the 7. BTW, thanks for all the participation. I was surprised since there hasn't been a race in a month or so. I'll post the chart tonight. Good luck, Tim |

I bet the 6 horse as the best value but at the last minute I keyed the 4 to cover. |

Spa 7/31 Race #6 Chart
Here's the chart.
Congrats to Silent Run on the superfecta. I knew someone had to have it. The group was all over the 6, 7, and 2. I was elated by the interest in the race both by matching and the computer programs. Worthy of note is the first four horses under the wire had some trip troubles. I was elated by the interest in the race and will try to post another later in the week or next weekend. Tim |

Grade 1 Join Date: May 2008 Location: Staten Island, NY Posts: 3,231 Whats strange here is that the entry has a speedy half and a horse that ran terribly once on the turf... If in case the 1 goes out with the 2 ... I'm left with the 3-4-6....leaning more to the 6 gl mike ---------------------------------------------------------- Mike, nice. You're the man.
