Was wondering if RDSS will be able to work on either an IPAD or an Andriod tablet device ... anyone, please provide any guidance. Thx so much.

Doug, Mike,
Greetings from warm and beautiful Beaufort South Carolina (here for a week vacation ).RDSS needs a Windows operating system to run, and that will probably always be the case (until I port it to be a web application...). So it won't run nativly on an iPad/Phone or Android pads. That said, here's the plan: I have been running RDSS2 on a Windows based server for a year now (I showed a demo of this at Saratoga last year and to TrackMaster last October). If you put a copy of RDSS on a server (i.e. in the 'cloud') you can access it using an iPad running 'Remote Desktop Connection' of any of several apps which implement Windows RDP protocol. Same goes for the Android OS. I have been experimenting with several of the consumer offerings of cloud computing (e.g. Rackspace, GoGrid, Amazon ECS) where you rent space and time on a cloud server as you need it, and mount whatever Windows programs you need there, to be accessed and charged by the minute/hour. (For example, check out rackspace.com - you can get up and going for pennies to check out a Windows Server 2003/2008 setup, and have RDSS running in an hour or so - you need to know a bit about running Remote Desktop Protocol...) There's a few moving parts which I have not quite figured out, but this could be an effective method for folks to access their RDSS app and data on the go, using ANY modern pads or phones. I'll report and demo more about this as I understand more about pricing and access options. You can also run RDSS on your own Windows computer and permit access to it remotely by similar RDP means, so you wouldn't have to rent server space - simply load a remote access app like Wyse PocketCloud on your iPad and connect to your own computer. Some ideas there for further research and reporting by folks! cheers, Ted

Ted - Thanks for the explanation - I am not that familiar with RDP - but very interested in the idea and flexibility. Please keep sharing as you know more and I'll do the same.
