Pick the best pace line of the last 3 similar distance surface, and sometimes class, that is what Dr. Sartin said at a seminar along time ago when I went to
in Seattle, WA.

Good luck.

I agree and I also try not to go back farther than 90 days. That is for dirt and poly. I will go back farther for turf.
Good hunting.

lenabugg,

Have you done any Searches on the site for paceline selection, or reviewed Topics in the past 3 months in both the Handicapping, General and RDSS Forums on the topic of paceline selection? There have been numerous.

Also, have you reviewed the last dozen issues or so of the Follow Up journals in the Library? Doc Sartin has given specific comments re paceline selection using Validator (same software as you are using - RDSS).

You may also wish to study the Paceline manual in the Library. A lot which has been previously repeated could be repeated again here, and perhaps should be as this is a critical skill to develop consistency in. I will add to the above: I see little need to go very much past the the last 3 lines. A lot of my line selections are lines 1 and 2.

Ted
