8/23 - Pace and Cap

Today's Yaddo Stakes on the grass at Saratoga. Race 9 listed yielding after the rains. Other races are off the lawn.

I'm looking 6 and 4 on the win end. Need a bit of value somewhere to pull trigger.

Best of luck everyone and the "Spa Crew" up at the track

You Go West Girl all chasing the pacesetter

First race, Saratoga

The favorite has the bad habit of being the bridesmaid at short prices. I may go with the remaining half of the entry, presently at 7/2 but likely to be shorter at post time.

Assuming that R8 is still on the turf:

#1, Fiona Freud

Finally gets a jock who understands setups and the 1 post will further ensure a much better trip than she typically gets

5 1 3 4 in that 8th that was on turf

ah the strange episodes of turf sprinting particularly on a wet peat bog

The scratch of the 13 moves the FOUR up now as there is little front end to this race but the group will all be running after that ONE now over the 13 but it has been getting slower earlier, not normally a good sign.

Soggy turf makes strange bedfellows as it is 7/11/9/5
