This is a move that is always interesting.
TAM R6 The 5, Expect Validity, ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED the field (was blocked in the stretch run) last out and now steps up, probably significantly, against better. And he's not much of a price at 3:1. |

What I've documented also doesn't mean that I've played each situation. I try to use my intuitive skills also. Sometimes I can second-guess myself, but I've often posted of that inner voice. But the "lone E" is my favorite of all plays, it has been so for many years before I even heard of Dr. Sartin. It was a "lone E" that was the first winner on the IDT, a horse named Rare Joel who rattled off numerous consecutive victories on this track and was previously just a run-of-the-mill claimer. Similar early IDT horses were Paul's Hero and Sky Treaty, animals whose running style just suited the track. The latter won 6 of 7 races one season on the IDT in the mid-70s, usually going up in class. When we returned to the main track, he soon returned to the bottom level. |
