The Horse that Can Beat the Winner!

Just had a lovely chat with an old aquaintance who was an even older friend of Guy Wadsworth and of Larry Vogele. We reminisced a bit about our departed friend Guy and about Guy's software efforts over the years and how that has evolved into RDSS and whatever the future may bring.

He quoted a very Zen and poetic phrase Guy used to employ (at least it struck me so): "This software doesn't just pick the winner, it picks the horse that can beat the winner." Which is vaguely disturbing/intriguing in the same way as "the sound of one hand clapping" or "let the bet make you", but it pleased me and I thought I'd share it.

Hope everyone is reaping lots of horses who beat the winner today!

Ted

(And Mike W, if you read this, thanks for the chat!)

Guy

Ted, how well I remember Guy in his eloquent manner telling me that. He would tell me no matter what the software said it still had to be own handicapping decision. In my case I had to rely heavily on the software because what I discovered was the software made better decisions than I did. lol Your post sure does bring back memories of Guy.
Dave

PS When downloading Mnr I get the file but I also get an error message MAN is not in the track list report etc etc
