No I do not enter a SR. VALM will figure it. When it comes time to enter a SR hit -enter- again and look at the bottom of the screen Valm will ask if the paceline you just entered is from the track your working on if it is you press 1, or if the paceline was from adifferent track you press 2 and Valm will ask for the three year best at a certain distance , you enter the figure then press enter , Valm will ask if the three year best is ok? if it is press 1. Valm will figure a SR.

Some days (weekends) the TV will be faster that during the week , not because the track got any faster , but because there are better horses running . At least thats what I think.
That should work. Doc Sartin was never a big fan of variants. He didn't use a variant at all in the early days of the methodology, for the simple reason that the variant did not appear in the western edition of the DRF until sometime after 1982.

My only concern would be that if you actually enter the number zero, instead of the number 17 that is expected for a neutral variant, that the program would take that as a very fast track and generate a big adjustment. Even if it did, I suppose it wouldn't affect the rankings since it would be applied equally to all lines.

Hmmmm......... Maybe that's the reason most horses run like Secretariat in Validator with the Trackmaster download.

and that it was running against a group of other horses
all of which also had only lines with over 7.5 BL
I did it long ago and don't have the time to do it again. Posted about 14 of them.

from the source of the programming a voice said this:
What ever you choose to do, the real question is "How does your Wallet like it?"
With the new program, what you see is what you get, inferior lines do not get promoted over good lines.
The program does not realize the difference between the first and fifth lines.
It is your decision, you are the one determining how you think the horse will run today.

If it works it works

Yours, Guy

GOOD ADVICE!

an older post that contained many a winner just in this profile:

Recent ones that have broken the rule (their speed ratings were close to
the others but their beaten lengths were ABOVE 7.5) are:

GP 4th 3/31 *Kissin List* $26.60 to win, 3/31 AQU 4th *Expect Nothing*
$38.60 to win, 3/25 Aqu 8th *R B's Glitter* placed $6.30, 3/21 Aqu 3rd*
Mt Vernon Road* showed but was the key to a trifecta worth $2194.00, one
of my favorites: *Mithaal *3/14 Aqu 6th $18.80 to win, 3/20 Gp 9th
*Payable on Demand* $18.00 to win etc. etc. the list is too long to
write out here.

Don't mess with Bill

Very cool.. Now just do it ahead off time
I will check out all the pace lines and judge the horse to the POR
it ran against, I will make sure its not one of many other horses in the race that have only lines with over 7.5 beaten lengths
and I will do it with Validator or Valm because
hey here is a clue for you thats what this thread is about
RIP Guy Ted will do you right

Works before, during and after races. Facts don't change because of post time. Never have, never will. Disagreement is disagreement and nothing more. I especially disagree with something that has been proven wrong countless times.

That older post quoted above was from the program Validator.

the offer

I am keeping my offer

show me a current race were you feel that using a line
over 7.5 will be beneficial to winning the race
and I will do the work to post the pace lines for all the horses
then we all can see

I am not getting anything from your "earlier post"

Again We have no knowledge of what program
Guy is talking about. I would like more details on this "earlier post"
Copy it and post it here. I give you permission on my end
If it was posted on another site and its cool with that admin.
I will gladly allow it here

Again with all respect to the late Mr Wadsworth
I would like to see were and when he spoke that way of the program Validator I look forward to your reply

Bill
