Thoromation
Does anyone know why they didnt make the program to adjust itself? It seems like the 2 adjustment caused a lot of confusion.Jeff

Here is a trick for Thoromation. If you adjust the POR with par times(not POH) for the pacelines you chose and then use the 1 adjust, Thoromation is just deadly. The reason I got away from this approach was that it was time consuming. Because RDSS is supposed to save the RAC files adjusted, I may dig out my copy of
Thoromation. |

Bill, I hate to be contradictory but: Please enlighten me. When the saving feature is added to RDSS will this be part of Validator 2006, which I was led to believe, but could be mistaken, will be included as a segment of RDSS. If not, then why not? Will Validator 2006 be available for public consumption? If not, why not? The fact that RDSS will save the best 4 is admirable but It can also be converted through AOdds Gold or SpeedPlus (cost of the files $ 1.00 on the silver plan) and Axlate, if use use Trackmaster files and the cost of the files, $1.00 (pay as you go) are less expensive and can achieve the same results. |

When I was using T-Mation, I printed out a copy of Beyer's speed charts and used it to find out his race variant for each pace line and adjsuted the POR by that number. The assumption was that is the Beyers equalized the races, then the track-to-track and daily variants and anything else was already in the variant number. I had very good results doing that, but as you can imaginge, it is time consuming to do that every race.

What I did was use synergism 3 and run the pace of the race thru the pacelines to get the adjusted pace of the race. I would then put that in as the POR for the horse keeping the beaten lengths that were in the form. Betting the top 2 was deadly for me with me hitting over 80% at Keeneland during the 2 weeks I was there. The problems were that this approach took aprox 45 min per race to run. The pars changed over time and I didn't have a new par table to chage the pars. The advantage of this approach was that using pars to adjust the speed of the track, when I put in a slow horse the 1 adjust would throw the horse out. With just using the 2 adjust, I would often have the slow horse come out on top. My problem was I had trouble telling if the horse was slow or was he coming from a slow track. Maybe Ted can let us know if his RDSS adjusted pacelines will give us a relatively close approximation.

Slewbacca,Let me get this straight. After entering the pacelines into Syn 3 you would then take those times and put those into Thoromation with the beaten lengths from the form.Maybe Im wrong but doesnt Syn 3 have 3 calls and Thoromation 4.Thanks Jeff
