Turn Time Loss

I remember hearing or reading that horses that lose ground between the 1st &2nd call are poor win bets. I decided to check this out so I ran a 100 race test. Here the results. The tracks involved were PARX,MTH,TDN,&LRL
Winners
100
No TT loss
83
TT Loss
17
So IMO it is safe to downgrade a horse showing a tt loss from in consideration.

Hi Stormy. Feel free to experiment. Some might want set a number such as lost 1 or more lengths before applying the loss. I did not but some folks might be uncomfortable downgrading a horse based on a loss of less then 1 length I am not. Run your own survey to see what you are capable of accepting if you decide to employ it all

Thanks Tim. When you compiled this info, presuming you used RDSS screens, did you use the Original screen or the Adjusted screen to determine beaten length loss during second fraction?

Hi Ted. I used both the BRIS pps & the original RDSS screen. For those who don't or can't get BRIS pps the original RDSS screen is as good.

Doc often said about MC winners that run against non maidens next race and show low TT probably won't win even with high ratings otherwise.

Hi Bet. I remember that also. I believe he stated that if the mdn winner didn't rank in the top 2 of tt it most likely would lose. I have found that to be true even in todays' racing.
