Arrow Post-Lexington Discussion

Even though the RDSS unearthed King Fury as a strong selection, I am trying to figure out if I picked the wrong line with Proxy because it made him pretty much look like the one to beat. King Fury had the strongest LPR rating between the Top 4. I love the fact that the general betting public made Swiftsure the favorite, and RDSS showed he was indeed a terrible selection. Same goes for the overrated Bezos.

I think you picked the right line. It was the best at a comparable distance
and within the last 90 days. Hard to do better than that.

BTW, if you make a habit of getting the winner after knocking 5 out , including the post-time favorite, of fields of 9
(like you showed in your BLBL image) .........................

......................I think you'll be just fine.

I would have used L2, show a screen shot of its PP from RDSS

L2 is within 1/16 of todays dis. and the POR was much faster.

Thank you! Here is the requested screenshot. Do you still stand by your decision after seeing this?

Thank you! I am trying to at least narrow it down to the Final Four, and then carefully play around with the options from there. Of course, finding fields of more than six horses are becoming harder to come by.

Based on your screen shot and the Preceptor I would use L 1 . The question is ,what settings are you using?

I'm picking my own lines. I try to pick within the first three performances that match within a furlong to the distance, similar surface, the horse finished no more than 7.5 lengths behind the winner, avoid an off-surface (if possible), and/or not one that has a dramatic perceptor total readout.

Looking at your screen shot, the variant for line 1 is extremely fast -22, unless you have the correct settings you won't get the proper readouts. Check your settings, 50% of variant should be checked and +15 & -15. Try that and see what it does, send another screen shot with those settings.

I actually had it at those settings already.

Avoid lines with extreme variants, in this case it was -22. You'll see this a lot in Turf lines, off track lines, some track lines during the winter and on big race days they tend to make the track faster.

The easiest way to check this is to pick your lines , than go to the analysis window and click on the Original tab. There you will see the variant for every horse you chose a line for. Look for a variant that is out of the norm as compared to all the other horses' lines chosen.

When you see a line that is abnormal to the others such as -22 than go back and choose another line for that horse. For Proxy that would be L3.

In the DRF the average variant is 17 for tracks however in RDSS TrackMaster uses 0 as a base so -22 is extremely fast and abnormal. Avoid lines with extremely fast or slow variants.
