Talking New RDSS user goes live

Recently became a user of the software and played Woodbine today. I had
practised on a couple of example cards, but this was first live racing.
This is not a boast but i got a 32.00 and a 34.00 horse, which was great,
but i also understand that I have almost no clue as to what factors in the program pointed me to those horses.
But, what it did do was give me some structure to my capping as imperfect as that may be.
Let the learning begin!!

Hello Tom.

Welcome and congratulations on those great payouts. RDSS will do some amazing things. Doc Sartin was a brilliant man. He and his colleagues, and now Ted Craven, have been working on those algorithms for almost 40 years. I've only been at this a short time, still flying on auto-pilot, and am quite pleased with my ROI.

If you need reading material, there's no shortage of that around here either. In addition to the Follow Ups, the Yellow Manual, the audio and video libraries, just reading the threads on this forum is an education. There are some smart, knowledgeable people who post here and they have certainly helped me by sharing their thoughts and opinions.

Enjoy and as Bill V. always says, "Good skill!"

There were A LOT of people interjecting new aspects of the methodology from its inception to what it is today....Many of them

The GREAT thing about this method, there is NO ONE WAY to implement it.

Over the years as a moderator (10 years at Sartin Alums on Yahoo), I was made aware of methods TOTALLY distinct to mine that got horses at venues I never touched. It opened my focus to expand to other race tracks and to modify the selection methods used at each.

There are FEW rights or wrongs here: JUST WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.

Thanks Mick
I have done a fair amount of reading, but doing a live card has intensified my focus I believe. I found a post on the 93 expo and entropy which will be my bed time reading for awhile.

I agree that there are many approaches which can work, and working races and reading
all the post from many of the users will help to develop my approach .

Thanks guys
Good skill if your playing this wkend

Indeed! Check out the 'Thank you' button on the RDSS Desktop (that's what it's there for). Many more contributors over the years are not mentioned, and some prefer to remain private. Some are members today of this very community

Thank you - ALL!

Ted

Tom, congratulations - you hit the ground running (even if you don't entirely understand how you got there or where you landed ).

All the Help and Reference material we got re RDSS, is here: www.rdss2.com/help-reference, factor descriptions, software Release Notes, Videos - all such as there are. I know, there should be better documentation (and it'll get better). It just means you have to work for it ... Of course, all the Follow Up issues and older Manuals, videos and audios are a gold-mine to those who are serious to explore.

Meanwhile, the BEST assistance for getting a handle on the ideas and best practices (several flavours of them) - is all the members here at P&C. Some brilliant minds, and it astounds me (though does not surprise me) that they are so generous. Of course, any technical issues, always just post or email me, no worries.

Looking forward to hearing your further successes and challenges - it's all good.

Ted

Thanks Ted
i have been doing a fair amount of redingand watching video's. That google search is a
awesome tool.
was interested in entropy and came across the 93 expo seminar. Good read. lots to
wrap my brain around.
Have also discovered the Velosity poh tab, and puched all the numbers so I now know
what the % relate to. i,m going to lean on it heavily tomorrow at Woodbine for my contender selection, and also use it to model.

good luck if your playing tomorrow!
