Class Still Matters
Oaklawn Race #7 - Honeybee Stakes Grade 3
#3 Rose to Gold - 5-1 at post time - my bet #8 Flashy Gray - 2-5 at post time - the favorite In this race Rose to Gold, the only horse in the race who has won a graded stakes, no other horse has, shows a clear class advantage. Flashy Gray pounded down to 2-5, optional claiming winner, trained by William Mott, ridden by Mike Smith. If you factor class into your handicapping and believe class still matters this was a no brainer bet. #3 Rose to Gold paid $12.60 to win |
