Bill.....

Red Sox swept. I think the layoff really hurt the Rockies. At the end of the season they could do no wrong against the D-Backs. They were hot in the playoffs, but really cooled off. Not good for the NL West.

I hadn't looked at the supporting card for Saturday's Breeder Cup and was looking at the post by LoneStar (I lived in Dallas for several years) tha included the second race. 'Sindy with an S' was one of the picks. That is my wife's name! I was going to go place a wager, but the time was too tight. "Sindy finished 5th.

Great job on the race today. You nailed it.

Just a bit outside

Hello Pete

Yes the 8 days off cooled down the Rockies
The NL west did ok. The Diamond Backs Rockies and SD
all have good young teams
The Giants can move away from the Barry Bonds era and maybe someday it will be thier year
thanks for the nice words about the Pha race

Yep, there was a early speed bias that held until the Sprint, Gary Stevens called that it would turn around after the sealed track broke up.

I didn't see a bias at all there.

How does Gary explain the 3rd race finish? The best horse won the races imo. Now u want to see a bias look at Mnr last night. Late, later and latest won 8 of the 10 races. That's a bias.

Hi Jeff

Docs guidelines say to bet anything on your pick 3 that win pay
over $10.00 ( double digits) as a sep. win bet
what else can I say

Thanks guys Im off the ledge came back in the 10th at Tampa on my old stomping ground on the sod.Didnt pay much at 2-1 but was a generous price for a horse coming off a win at the same class. Now I have a late pick 3 going with the 7,8,9,10 in the 10th and the 5 in the 11th.

shoeless 03-01-2008 05:00 PM

off topic: UFC 82 - Silva VS Henderson

Silva has been terrorizing the UFC Middle Wt. Division
Silva beat Rich Franklin twice badly, many thought Franklin was unbeatable before Silva upset Franklin in a 1st round destruction

Dan Henderson held both Pride's Middle Wt & Pride's Light Heavy Wt belts before the UFC bought out Pride in 2007.

Henderson is coming off a loss to Quinton Jackson for the Light Heavy Wt. championship, where he gave the much bigger Jackson all he could handle, I thought he was winning early in that fight.

I think Henderson comes out on top in a war

Not if your bedroom was on the ground floor.

The "other me"

Someone started a thread on Pace Advantage a few days ago that really hit home here. My handle there is "Shanta".

Speaks to a subject I have been involved with for a little over 7 years now.

The most rewarding part of my life. Dwarfs ANYTHING racing will ever do for me.

Keep it up there is not enough kindness in this world

Anyone putting out a helping hand to anyone has the positive karma that the Buddhists talk about return to them. IT ALWAYS COMES BACK TO THE GIVER, often 10 fold.

My grandmother was a great role model for me in rural Alabama. She set up a network for the black community to have work in various homes in her town. Doors opened in that community just by saying "Ms. Alma is my grandmother." She used simple kindness and respect for others as a guide to her life and as an inspiration to others. I am proud to have known her. She was amazing.

When she died the bigots in her church wouldn't let the over 200 black mourners come into the church to see her. And they called themselves Christians.

The Man

I just followed Richie's thread on Pace Advantage and realized that the Richie I sometimes rag on was the same Richie that my gut told me was a very good , honorable, and God fearing man that I have grow to respect here on P & C.

Thank you dude for following your confictons and beliefs and for what you are doing. You can impact many by touching that first one. Some are sowers and some reapers so we cannot quit!

Tell Mom thank you for teaching you all of those good values. We all go thru bad times but if those good moral values are there, which they certainly are with you, a person will come back to them. We all have!

I didn't post this to praise Richie but to praise his Creator. Richie is just doing what he was created to do.

God bless,

Bud
