Here's the question, if an early horse doesn't go wire to wire every time it runs, then it is "a quitter" when it doesn't win?

So what do you call a closer that doesn't close? After all, they don't close every time they run, and when they don't close, they just flounder around at the back of the pack. But people have no problem with closers that don't close. And they don't have any problem with closers that close and still don't win.

Where is the difference?
The ONLY difference is "style".

If one horse has a certain style and performs one way, and
another horse has a different style and performs in different way,
why aren't both horses equal, based on their individual styles?

In case you missed another post I made recently, http://paceandcap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7872 there is a link that will take your to it. You might find it interesting.

I made an error as I was rereading some old e mails from Bob Purdy.

He told me look for the horse that will be on the lead at the 2nd call
regardless if he is a final contender or not.

FTL seems Bob agrees with you my mistake
