Timeform data if you have i

I know this is a big ask, but does anyone have past year's Timeform data, or know where to get it, for Breeders Cups entrants, prior to 2022. I have it for 2022.

Ted asked me to see if I could find a way to use it to help in finding BC winners from Europe or any other place that uses Timeform info. It helped me a lot this year for all the turf races that had foreign entries.

As it is, RDSS tells us Trackmaster data from races on most of the Euro continent, but it does not capture the Timeform info. My BC Database goes back to 2008 continuously so I have the TM info already.

If you have any of this data, PM me and I will send you my email address. The files are probably too big to send via the pace and cap website.

Hope to hear from you on this.

amendment to request

I asked for Timeform data. In years past it might also have been represented as Racing Post information in the pps. If you have either form of data, please let me know and I will do my best to make it make some kind of sense.

Bill, there might have been a misunderstanding in our correspondence regarding TimeForm (international) SR versus TrackMaster/Equibase (North American) ratings.

In RDSS, in the TrackMaster SR column, when the track is a European one (maybe also Japan, etc) - the rating comes from TimeForm, not from TrackMaster's N/A computations.

Thus, we already have the TF ratings in all PPs for all Euro horses!

If your BC database is missing any years or days, I can update it and post it here in he Example Databases area for the research work.

Thanks in advance Bill!

Ted

Well, i might take exception to your response.

In race 8 Saturday for instance, #1 POGO had listed Timeform ratings of 118-116-107-106 whereas the TM ratings for the same races were 118-117-116-113.

DREAM TF = none for last race, 107-104, but TM ratings were 129-116-109.

The winner MODERN 120 - no info - 122 vs TM 122-120-119.

In race 10 Rebels Romance did not have a Timeform rating in its last two races. Starting on 7/29 the next 4 TF ratings were 120-119-74-80, In RDSS these 4 races had the following numbers - 112-104-60-74!!

So there is some basis to dispute what the real TIMEFORM rating might be. I suppose the RDSS representation could reflect an update TF rating, but that is unknown at this time. What do you think?

I'll ask TrackMaster where they get those figs from. I had always only used whatever showed up from TrackMaster - often to great profit over the years. The longstanding angle to rate Euros was always derived from whatever appeared in RDSS. though maybe there is another manual or automated source of good ratings - never say never!

FWIW, here do you get the TF Inernational SRs?

Hi Bill,

Check your email.
I sent you the Fri/Sat files from 2021.

You will see that in the TF PPs, you get the ratings, plus a decent narrative of the race, so you can see if the horse ran early, closed, etc.
