Supertote on Derby Day
Just a note about Supertote tote board data flow into RDSS today, Kentucky Derby Day: sometimes it DOES slow down or stutter or stop altogether as more people pile on to BRISnet's older Supertote server, a system which I think eventually will be replaced (and I'm working on various alternatives including TwinSpires, XpressBet, AmWager, etc).
But as of Race 2 - it is working fine. So, later on today if you find no tote happening, or if it's 'stuck' and not ticking over - well, check Supertote in your web browser to see what it looks like there. RDSS only displays what it can get from Supertote. It is what it is! Note: RDSS V2.1 testers should be able to see the toteboard for the Derby race 12 for the first time (at least it was working for 20 horses last year during early testing). Older versions of RDSS2 will not display any tote info for the Derby, as has always been the case. Good luck all! Ted
