RDSS is awesome, I wasn't implying anything contrary to that.

Living here in Reno though, unless I am at home where I run RTN to watch the odds, I need the odds to place bets. They put my TS Elite account on hold while I live in Nevada because of the state law protecting Nevada casinos monopoly on gambling. That is why I was asking about the live odds. The payoffs are nice for record keeping purposes, but not as necessary for me as the live odds.

Anyways, keep up the good work and I will keep checking in hoping for a solution.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan, I live in Reno and I use the Atlantis Race app. I haven’t been to the casino in months as you can fund your account online and withdraw online and still get your comps. And of course you can watch races live with RTN.

Hey Pianoman,

I have been using the Atlantis race app for a couple years now, but last year it started having issues for me on my Android based phone. Atlantis told me that was not unusual and when I looked up the developer company online they had moved from silicon valley to London and were being sued in several US states and were filing for bankruptcy. Maybe they don't play well with Android. Maybe they don't play well with TMobile, who knows. I went from betting about 80k or more with the app in 2022 to about 20k or less last year. I had problems with it accepting bets and with placing the bet twice. Atlantis refunded the money I lost on the double bets, but still the frustration is just not worth it. I basically turned in my Sapphire card to Atlantis and told them no thank you, I won't be using your app again.

I have been to the casino racebook a few times and it is well run, but I have a problem with the cigarette smoke. I am thinking of giving the Caesar's casinos up on the row a try, but right now I am just not betting much. I think the last time I bet was the first weekend in December when my mom and sister came to town. We bet at the Atlantis racebook and had a great time, but that was not a profit oriented weekend, that was a fun oriented weekend. If I want to make money, I have to keep records for a couple weeks and see what kind of profile I can make. Right now, the data is harder to come by since it is no longer getting put in the RDSS export.

I have a kind of crazy schedule between now and March, but if you want to meet at Atlantis in March and do some handicapping together, I think that would be fun. I think I still have a $140 or so comp dollars on my account so I can even buy you lunch there at the Manhattan Deli. Just drop me a PM here. I check the PM's about once a week, so it might take a couple days to get a reply unless they send you an email when you get a PM.

Anyways... I appreciate the advise and ideas.

Good to hear from you Dan. Lets look for March. The only issue I have with the app is on the big days (3yo Classics, Breeders Cup) the app freeze. It seems the system can't handle the wagers. I use my iPad for the app. I prefer the Atlantis if I will attend, even though I live within walking distance of the row.

I got a notification from Atlantis that they are changing to another race app provider in April. This is great news to me and probably to many others that live here in northern Nevada and are not allowed to use out of state, professional ADWs.

I pointed out to Atlantis that MiOmni, the company that they had been using, is in bankruptcy and has multiple lawsuits against them. That MiOmni left Silicon Valley to move to London, to slow the lawsuits. And that the service and quality of the race app had gone down hill in the 5 years I used it. Atlantis told me to just come into the casino and bet, but it looks like they might have either looked into the matter or that they might have gotten so many complaints and lost business that they had to act.

Regardless, I am hoping the new app is good. I miss playing the races.
