Black Magic

I know it's a expensive piece of software but I was really impressed in
seeing it on Pizzolla's video rant about the Belmont.

hi shoe, how have you been buddy? i viewed his KD video a couple of years ago and he wasn't close. IMHO i think the price is inflated with all the cd's. i mean how much better can the software be? if im wrong, well im wrong. i dont think one can go on the message board unless you pay for the software or pay a login payment. so how can one judge? just a opinion

Hi Chef,

Glad to hear from you.

Go on you tube and watch his Belmont rant, some of the features he was
showing looked very good even though I really didnt understand what they
were. For instance on one screen he has all the horses and there is a
red line which I assume is that everyone above it is a contender.

Also on another screen he has the horses listed in order who has the lead
at the 1st and 2nd call.It is done in a way that was very easy for the user
to understand.

It's these types of features Im referring to not the actual outcome of the race.
Plus remember one very important thing he is doing this before the race is run.

The red line shows all horses that are above random. If there are 14 horses in a race, the random odds of any horse winning would be 13/1. Horses odds below 13/1 are above the line, horses with odds above 13/1 are below the line. I have never used the software before, but it is my far the best at displaying the pp's, downloading the pp's and results at the click of the mouse. The portfolios are super. Because you can download every race in seconds, their are many races you can play without ever looking at any of the big races.

The one thing I don't like about the software is that the user has no idea what factors are used to make the odds line. You can only change the line from early, neutral or late and that will change the horses and their odds, but you can't change the weights or anything like that.

I watched the video too, he is advocating value, I think anyone with a reasonable set of numbers can judge if you have value on your horse or not. His software seems expensive to me.

I have been using it for a few years and it has paid for it self many times over. If you have any questions send me a message

There lies the problem people get too wrapped up in a set of numbers

Well let me put it another way, a set of numbers or no numbers, you must, however you handicap, whichever method us use, be able to tell if you have value or not, why else would you make the wager unless you are just playing for fun, win or lose.

For most of us in our own mind we must think there is value or why make the bet. One person thinks an even money horse is value, he thinks it should be 3/5, another waits for higher odds. You can debate value till the cows come home.

To me Pizzola was only saying in his rant, look for value, do not try to pick the winner, make the best bet. I've read this out of books 30 years ago, nothing new there.

He just thinks his software does this best. Who knows maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, I'll never know but I'm not spending the money to find out, others do, great, however you win at the races, my hats off to you, software program or not, I respect anyone who makes money long term.

I will give him this, he is entertaining to a point, he reminds me of these people selling their stock market programs with so much certainty.
