Belmont Stakes

Here are the Belmont PP's. Looking forward to Bill L.'s marathon analysis here. I've gone back over several past Belmonts and have not had as much success implementing the Match-Up compared to the Derby and Preakness...

My 2 cents worth

Belmont best mile times:

I chose not to use Dullahan's turf line, but I am still very respectful of it as it represents the best mile time of any contender. Even when he stumbled at the start at SA Paynter ran a pretty good race. I think he repels Unstoppable U and waits for Union Rags and Dullahan and for a price Atigun who can close a little. I would put Street Life somewhere in the trifecta/superfecta mix.

Just a note: Redeemer won yesterday's 10f Brooklyn (paid a little over 2:1 and keyed a modest pick 3) wire to wire, having run 2-1-1, 3-4-2 and 2-1-1 in the pre-finish calls against the fastest paces in his field.

I think there are some prices out there today, so good luck to all.

Form holds for the win... Union Rags pressed and was first in line when Paynter faded.

I was hoping Atigun would run him down and for a while it looked like it might happen, but alas, no. Still a good day.

Thanks Bill. Your analysis of the mile times in the context of today's match-up was really good. Keep up the good work with these marathons...

I'm with Pete. Your matchup work, especially on the marathons, is top notch, Bill.
