Hi Mum, I'm back!

With Pick 3s, you have to place your bet for each 3 race series before the beginning of the 1st race in the series. So, for a Pick 3 consisting of races 4-5-6, you must place your bet on that before the beginning of the 4th race. For the next rolling Pick 3 of races 5-6-7, you must place your bet on that series before the beginning of the 5th race. And so on...

Same Pick 4s, Pick 5s, etc, including Daily Doubles (Pick 2?)

Ted

Hello Barb.
Keeping records is 1/3 the battle. Discipline in your Handicapping is 1/3 and Wagering is the final 1/3.

I too like the P3's and P4's. I see your son has answered your question as well as anyone .

My favorite wagers are Trifectas and P4 with a P3 to backup my P4. If my first leg of the P4 is a chaos race (difficult to handicap), i will play a backup P3 on the last 3 legs of the P4. If the last leg of my P4 is questionable, I will play a P3 on the first 3 legs. I have saved many a wager this way.

My hit rate is about 1 of 5.

continued success Barb.

Hi Ted.

I'm glad you're back. I hope you had a restful time.

You answered my question and it only makes sense, thank you for that.

And thank you Bob, for telling me about your favorite wagers. They look like a logical way of going about things. I will give them a try.

It's going to be an interesting summer with so many people willing to help me.

It's a wonderful world.
