The Match Up Program
I have been using The Match Up program by Bradshaw / Kovach since I purchased it 10 years ago. Recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista and am unable to to install. I have the original Name / Serial Number but keep getting a "General Transfer Error" as the disc starts decompression and advice to check if I have access to this program. I have installed this program on three previous computers without a problem. Any advice will be appreciated.
** I would suggest contacting "The Programmer" here as that is Mr. Kovach. Hopefully he can help you. ** RichieP Last edited by RichieP; 09-29-2008 at 02:35 PM. |

The software DOSBOX could help.

Most likely the issue is that the installer is not compatible with Vista. I am not sure if DOSBOX would help with the issue or not as it isn't really a DOS issue (as the software is Windows software).
XP has a compatibility mode, if Vista also has a compatibility mode you might try installing using that mode (I do not have Vista (actually I use Mac nowadays) so I cannot check on this for you). If someone here has Vista they may be able to check on compatibility mode. RK

Thanks Mike! Good to know Vista is the same as XP in that regard.

Sartin dos programs are 32 bit and will not run on vista 64 bit without some work.
I installed dosbox and then had to take the computer off of administrator to edit dosbox config. Then you can put it back on administrator and run everything through dosbox. Froggy |
