I would love to see the RDSS TPR/EL screen shot from someones contender screen for the 1,2,5,7,9 after picking the appropriate pace line for each of these horses.
My lines were as follows: 1-(L2) 2-(L3) 5-(L1) 7-(L3) 9-(L2) |

Thanks Bill V.
It looks like the (7) has a distinct pace advantage. The price is certainly right. In this rare instance I might be compelled to bet 2 horses to win. That being the (9) and (7) I believe they're both at a decent price. |

Hi Bill V.
Thanks for bringing the power of Ted's TPR /EL screen to our attention. It should be noted, and in my opinion, that this screen is a very strong tool in the handicapping process when used with the correct pace lines. I believe it will out perform the New Pace screen that renders a similar readout. I am not taking away anything from New Pace. It's a nice tool at MNR used in specific races but I am of the opinion that Teds TPR / EL screen is as good or better. I applaud the work and success of those that have been tracking MNR They are "specialists" and have produced a profit over the long term. You can't argue with success but in all type races and at all tracks, I would choose to use the TPR /EL screen. In this particular race the top 2 early and top 2 late were the top four finishers. Those that are into the exotic bets can tweak their ability to pick the proper pace lines with this feature. As well, those that are tracking New Pace using the 4 horse scenario might want to track this screen as well and see if it may be more effective for them. |
