I do not see the "energy screen" but I am sure that horse #7 has a significant advantage at the 1st call of the energy readouts. Bradshaw has stated on many occasion that when a horse does not have to exert as much energy early in the pace matchup, the horse will have more left in the 3rd fraction. In simple terms: if horse #7 has an early advantage in energy at the first call in this match-up, the horse can run one-fifth slower at the first call and one-fifth slower at the second call, which will enable this horse to run two-fifth faster for the 3rd fraction, according to the "matchup principles" of Jim Bradshaw. It may not matter in this particular matchup since the #7 horse is in the top two of Thoromation, but there will be races where a 3rd ranked or 4th ranked horse will move up to the top two rankings based on Bradshaw's matchup principles. This principle is mute for those who are already successful in whatever programs that they are using. |

Energy
Choa you are correct
Horse 7 owns the dream race first fraction. horse 7 is also # 1 (100 ) fastest on the Velocity Pars screen I find this screen helpful. Here I see how the 4 fails. Even with the early pressure match up the 4 is too slow early and decelerates just about the same as the early horses. The difference is the 4 is a one move closer. It owns the 100 in the 3rd fraction. Entropy does a great job showing the match up. This is why I did not use the 2 adjust. Horse 4 is a one move slow horse. If I did use the 2 adjust the 4 wins the race on thoromation. This is the power of Entropy and starting with Phase 1 |
