Rich has told the story of the Cougar and relaxing chants that prepare his mind to achieve the best results when doing The Match Up. This is essential for "pattern recognition." Research has found that the ideal state for learning is when the brain is in a relaxed, but in an aware state. When I say relaxed, I mean focused and aware. At this time the mind is clear, receptive to information, and rapidly makes 'connections', realizations and joins up thoughts.
Once at a seminar in New Orleans a couple of guys brought a Biofeedback Machine that was supposed to accomplish relaxation. The purpose was to sell the machines. They were asked, if I needed one and they said "they had observed me reaching relaxation at will." The more you are able to prepare your mind for the task ahead the better chance you have in accomplishing The Match Up. I reach the relaxation state through relaxed breathing At this time my mind is clear, receptive to information, and rapidly makes 'connections', realizations and joins up thoughts. |

intuition looks like a combination of "pattern recognition" and "relaxation ". Sounds like you guys are really not fooling around here. Never seen this point hammered so hard as to make us realize how integral a part of The MatchUp this is. Never really liked "esoteric" applications cause I always thought after achieving a certain level of skill , only THEN do these type applications flesh their way out to useful , tangible applications once you achieve a certain level of advancement. Now I can't tell if you guys sound more like Doc Sartin, or if Doc Sartiin sounds more like you guys. If one wants to honestly master the MatchUp, guess you gotta delve into this seriously. Man..., you guys really arent messin around now . VoodooFan

The Puma is RECALLING what is about to happen because he has seen this BEFORE.
In Jim "The Hat" Bradshaw's matchup a focused, relaxed and clear mind will help you greatly.

Intuition/sure grip
Since intuition is a vital and integral part of The MatchUp, best to roll
up the sleeves and get busy. Us yankees are so hard wired in the 21st century , relaxation is like an alien concept nowadays. So ,...here's my to do list : 1) Rich, what on-line wagering service do you either recommend for california or should look into ? The reason I'm asking is because : a) To help relaxation, I found out long ago I can't concentrate and even attempt to get at that " quiet place " you and The Hat talks about at "live" racing atmosphere. Also trying to handicap ahead of time in this environment is, for me, almost impossible. b) Don't like the questions on the applications they have you fill out. Too much personal information ; your blood type, what size jock cup you wear, etc,. , plus with identity theft and all , you kind of apprehensive of too many sources with your information. BUT, if I got to bite the bullet , I GOT to bite the bullet. c) To master pattern recognition, to what I understand , you have to pick races selectively. For me, avoiding all turfs , too many mixed distance past performance lines , maiden races , and possibly bullrings. Picking races where there is a CLEAR , verifyable Early horse with at least 2 recent lines that show as such , no "flukes " , so as to get a 1st call projection. Then work on the Lone Early, Dominant Early, 3 Multiple Earlys , and the "Clear - Clear Early. The only other possible race to work is the " Chaos " race , in which all the horses in their 10 lines NEVER been in the lead . Because most times when I buy a Racing Form, you seem to have to pass a lot of races to get to the one's that qualify. If I have an on -line wagering account , I can download load lot's of cards and have enough plays to keep in practice. 2) I'm gonna buy that CD of Indian chants and music , play that for an hour or so before handicapping , to see if I can relax. Probably have to try that for a few weeks to see how it goes. 3) I seen some authentic bundled sage brush bundled by Native Americans in the health food store, but they had another name for it. It is supposed be ceremonial incence , so while I'm listening to the CD , I'll have that burning to see if it helps accentuate relaxation. 4) Jim " The Hat " Bradshaw must've went to his deep place to combine the psychology he knows plus Native American philosophies to teach and relay the message to you to relay to us the importance of this mind state. You truly are a perfect MatchUp student. Why do I say that? 'Cause how in theeeeeeee HOLY HELL did he get you , a NEW YORKER , to accept RELAXATION!?!? Are you kidding me ? Are you serious ? That crazy place with all the traffic , noise , fast moving pace , so noisy , so fast, EVERYONE has to talk loud and fast. Ever heard the term a New York minute ? Definately a good teacher. Are you sure you're Italian ? Methinks you may have some Native American in your family tree, somewhere, to readily absorb this aspect of The Hat's teaching THAT FAST. VoodooFan

I LIKE this VERY much as a battle plan.VERY much. I will comment on the rest after speaking with Jim please ok? I have NO shame/insecurity in telling you and everyone that I PASSED the entire Pha and Haw cards today because I did NOT find what I am looking for Voodoo. I found what I NEEDED to WAGER at Charlestown.I told Jim this on the phone earlier. Different folks have different goals/methods as it should be. I am in it for the MONEY and have increased my wagers to a level as high as I have ever been at betting ONE horse $20.00. That is chump change to some here and that is fine.I only speak the truth as to my REALITY coming from 2 horse value betting for over 15 YEARS. I am ONLY playing races where I totally KNOW who is gonna win even if they do NOT when the race actually runs. Voodoo LISTEN: I am TOTALLY into the Puma. See his EYES? They are RECALLING what is about to happen because he has seen it BEFORE. Read that again SLOWLY. Then trust me read it AGAIN. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This $20.00 level has been reached after starting with TWO dollar bets as per Jim's instructions to me over a year ago. My bank has grown significantly through hard work and PATIENCE. By this time next year my bets will be exceeding $50.00 as confidence and bank grows. Jim made a SPECIFIC game plan for me after asking what my GOALS in racing are ok? Let's leave it as I like VERY MUCH your game plan. I will comment on the rest tomorrow Richie THIS screen shot is "Hat's Matchup". Aware, intense and RECALLING what is about to happen because he has seen it BEFORE
