HorseTourneys.com $50k Guaranteed Contest - 3/3
It came down to the wire, but I snuck through the backdoor to earn the 6th and final spot in my satellite for tomorrow's major $50k guaranteed pool "Pick and Pray" covering GP, TAM and AQU.
Hoping to outpick my competition tomorrow and win what should be a $20,000+ first prize. Even minor awards would be awesome. Last edited by Bill V.; 03-02-2018 at 10:25 PM. |

My picks
Tried to keep it 5-1 or higher on my selections as it's a Pick and Pray. In other words, once the 3:30 race closes, I am locked in with all the horses. There are no changes allowed, so I wanted to give myself the best chance I could to tally a high contest score, as eating chalk will not cut it. The beauty of P&P is that you can't start throwing darts to catch up, hence why it's crucial to use horses that can get you in that position. However, if you dig a hole early, the inability to alter selections based on tote can be a detriment. Example: if Good Magic is the free Bingo square in the nightcap that everyone makes him out to be, he does me no good if I'm within range of cashing but need a price. I have to give myself that chance, even if it is futile.
Here they are. Feel free to agree or disagree. Top prize is north of $30k. Let this be a big day! Last edited by Bill V.; 03-03-2018 at 03:57 PM. |

10th and in the money with 1 race to go. If #1 wins, I take 2nd. If I get 2nd, I should move up a few spots from 10th. If it loses, I need luck to stay in top 12. |
