Aqueduct Race 10 5:20pm

The weather looks good so there should not be any cancellation problems. A good time to revisit Aqueduct with a straight up 6F $25000 claimer.
Good Skills and Luck to all matchers.

Good morning matchers. I am going to take an early shot at this and then go sailing. It will be near 80 here today.

I have the pace at 24. 48. Early

If the pace goes this slow the 6 should get the lead and wire. Any faster and the 4 would pick up the pieces.

Odds will be too low on the 4, so I am going with the 6 to win.

Pat,

Where does one go sailing in Oklahoma? Looks landlocked to me. Just kidding, I'm sure you have lakes or you are somewhere on vacation. Sounds nice. I look out my window here in the Canadian woods and all I see is white. Next week will be warmer and maple syrup season will be under way.

Enjoy the warm breezes,
Pook

Pace: 23.4 - 47.1
Contenders: 2-5-6-8
Race Shape: E - #6 may steal, however there lots of pressers which may compromise him. so I adding an OTE.

Win: 6-2

1- too far back
2- need to be closer today
3- press pace
4-press pace - may be false fav
5-drop in class may be what he need, price will be low
6-need to break on top of this bunch to win
7-too far back
8-moving up in class

I don't see strong early pace here. Maybe the 4 and 6 keeping each other honest. Either could run away with a pace of around 23.2/47.1/112.8. The 4 is most likely favourite. My contenders ended up being 4,6,7,8. I will take the 7 and 8 to catch.

7,8

I see the 4 pressing the 6 and don’t feel either will hold on. I’m looking OTE against a 23.1.
1- Sus –closes from the clouds, too far back from me…out
2- Sus- handled today’s pace in line 5…contender
3- Pre- sitting right behind the two leaders and finished close to a tandem best finisher…in
4- out
5- Pre- I feel this one will get mixed up early…out
6- Ear 23.1 47.2…out
7- Pre- last two races ugly…out
8- p/s- tandem best finisher, finishing 3rd against today’s pace…in

Down to the 2,3 and 8…the 8 beat the 3 so out goes the 3…I prefer the 8 but for the contest I will take the 2 AND 8.

Aqu 10 Cl25 N2-L RC88

Last line TPR top 5
4 8 1 3 2
Fulcrum # 4 90 47.1

Running styles
Horse1 Sustained too far back
Horse 2 Sustained
Horse 3 EP (hidden Early)
Horse 4 Press
Horse 5 Sustained
Horse 6 Early
Horse 7 SP
horse 8 Presser

I see the 6 as Early

My OTE contenders are 3 4 and 8
I see the 4 as a question to win 2 in a row off a maiden win
could be a Matt Carothers "wake up" horse ?
I see the 3 reversing the tandem with the 8 , They are both coming up in class but the 3 has better numbers and 2 nice works since that race

My choice 3 and 6

#4 and #8.

Favourite, and a nice longshot (on the ML) - perfect combo.

There's enough Early pressure between the 4,5,6 (maybe the 7) that I'll go Other Than Early, thus the 8. The 4, while early last out, can also close from 4th and 3rd, and against a much faster pace than anyone will set today.

Good luck!

Ted
