Saratoga recap

Well, my first official Saratoga meeting as a public handicapper for the Saratoga Special is over. Overall, in terms of winners I was fifth of five and in terms of money won I was third of five.

Overall Non-Maiden Maiden
wins 72 45 27
#races 339 202 137
money $552 $334 $218
win % 20.6 22.2 19.71
Avg win 7.34 7.42 8.07

Keep in mind all selections had to be made 2 days in advance before scratches and knowing what the track condition will be or whether races are taken off the turf.

i forgot to add that since the Alabama stakes weekend I have shown a net profit on my top picks. I think that hanging out with the Pace and Cap crowd for that weekend sharpened my focus and fine tuned my selection process. I never fail to benefit from these weekends and urge all RDSS users to try to attend one of these in the future. You will find it beneficial and you will have an improved bottom line.

way to go

That great Charlie. Good work and good to see you every year up at. Saratoga
Can't wait for next year. I am very impressed with your recap record considering the time frame that you must make your picks from.

Great work Charlie, especially, like you say, you had to pick them so far ahead. I also urge all who can to make this annual meet of Pace and Cap. I for one benefit greatly from all the camaraderie and advice from all you seasoned players and I find that I benefit more and more each year. There is so much positive energy when we get together, I look forward to this each year.
I'm glad your pocketbook was fattened since the Alabama.

Nice work - handicapping 2 days ahead of time without scratches AND having to cap every race on the card is very difficult and that's why I've always had great respect for guys like Brad Free, Jerry Antonucci, Jeff Siegel, the various SWEEP's non de plume in the old form, etc and the rest of the newspaper and form handicappers. Very hard to show a profit under those circumstances.
