Bill,
Syn 2 according to Purdy works best when all horses have like distances as pacelines. If you were averging them hope you didnt include shipper's time. |

Distance
Hi Jeff
Yes I made that mistake. I did include the 4's 2nd call and final time for the set up time averages I will be aware of this going forward thanks for the help Bill |

The track is closed. However, I did the race anyway to point out a few things. Hopefully, I can finish this thread before a cow goes flying by my window. To say it's windy in South Florida right now would be the understatement of the year.

August 27 -- Philadelphia 7th
http://www.brisnet.com/php/bw_pdf_vi...ate=2012-08-27 The #8 horse is scratched. For illustrative purposes I'm rating every horse in the race. These are the pacelines I used. #1 4-back #2 2-back #3 last race #4 3-back "Yes" to shipper, class adjustment 0.07 #5 2-back "Yes" to shipper, class adjustment 0.35 #6 last race #7 6-back |

Here is the same race with the non-contenders weeded out.
Oops, I forgot to mention the setup. I used the Philly 6F track record of 107 3/5. For the second call I used #1's fourth race back, 44 3/5 For the final time I used #4's third race back, 109 4/5 To bet this race without a track profile I'd look at the top two in: FW #4 #1 TT #1 #4 #7 DR #4 #1 #2 Now if you look at the actual turn time fractions you see: #1 56.54 #4 56.31 #7 56.29 So by ranking #4 and #7 are tied, but by fractions there is a 0.02 difference. #4 gets the nod. Therefore, the win bets would be on #1 and #4. |

David,
Dont understand why you would use a shippers final time in the setup. Jeff |

I made a mistake, that's all. Was trying to get it all done whilst the hurricane was attempting to blow my windows out and I wanted to finish before I lost power again. |
