Hi Bill, love all your posts. I did this race on Sunday and the only difference I did was on the #3 horse Marriage Fever. You used the last line which was a 8F Turf race. I ended up using the 4th line which was a positive raace at 8F dirt 78 days ago. Was I wrong by doing that??? Thanks

Bill, I'm late to this thread. I like that you have an approach and stick to it. Have you seen if your picks to place show a neg or pos ROI, had you bet to win? Thanks. Trace

Hello Whosonfirst( name? )

Yes sir
Since I have been doing this bankroll builder
My overall game, win and place betting and vertical bets.
has improved.

Having spent much less time making decisions, I have become more aware
of a two things
False favorites, and the race conditions.

When you focus on betting the favorite or horses
of the top betting choices with odds lower than their morning line.
It becomes clear that many of these horses have knocks.

I recommend reading two books on this subject.
How will your horse run today by William Scott
and The Handicappers Condition Book By James Quinn

Since March I decided to improve my record keeping.
I can't do the first quarter year because I was in very bad shape In Jan-Feb-March.
I started to improve in late March so I call it the second quarter of this year
(April - May - June )

Here is a review of my second Qtr. Profit and loss/win percentage

This is straight win and place only.

I am done with the bankroll builder place betting for now
Having done well this weekend with my win bets and having
hit on 7 of 8 races at Santa Anita on Sunday

I won the pick 5 ($101) from a $40 ticket and I hit 3 out of 4 in the late pick 4 missing the race of the day race 9 AhhHHH!!

I also won a nifty race at Belmont that I would like to review
Hopefully, a race that will be posted soon.

Anybody catch the 9th at Parx today,

This would be a good example of how the bankroll builder thing
got me to read conditions and notice knocks

Best skill to you

I've used and still do Scottss' forum factors and Quirins' failure guideline successfully to downgrade horses in the tier levels. These are still useful tools today.
