Hope this becomes the trend

I have not bet quarters since I lived in Ruiduso in the late 90's but I still lightly follow the track. It is a quaint small track and I still love it.
Today while attempting to find out the qualifiers for the Ruiduso Futurity I ran across this article from the Paulick report. This is a glimmer of hope.

We're getting more policing with thoroughbreds and many of the same rules are being applied. All in all I view this as a good thing. For us the bettor it levels the playing field.

The tracks themselves have created many of these problems by looking the other way for many years. Now the pendulum is swinging, which has been long over due.
