Both of these 'A Day at the Races' and 'A Week at the Races With Two Pros' should be posted to the Sartin Library within a few days!

Thank you Bud for your generous offer! I have them all scanned now, just uploading and getting the links organized for a new Sartin Library entry. I will try my utmost to get this done by the end of the day today, and report back.

Ted

Hello Folks,

Announcing the newest addition to the Sartin Library Manuals department:

A Day at the Races

A Week at the Races with Two Pros

Two manuals from the early 1990's describing The Sartin Methodology approach of the day, including TPR 'Pace Makes the Race' numbers and methods, Brohamer's MPH ratings, track and decision models, APV, Energy analysis and the Inner Game of Handicapping. By Dick Schmidt, Tom Hambleton, Dr Howard Sartin, Tom Brohamer, Jim 'The Hat' Bradshaw, Bert Mayne, Bob Purdy and Michael Pizzolla.

A very special Thank You to Victor M for providing me with these manuals to scan so many months ago (sorry it took so long)!

Enjoy!

Ted

Questions

Ted, I’m in the process of reading a Day at the Races and noticed that some of the older programs had a section on the Matchup (Pace- Dream Race). How if any is this concept calculated in RDSS? For instance if I use the recommended Best Preceptor, last three comparable is this concept taken into consideration in the RDSS readout?

The reason I ask this question is that I use RDSS as a match-up tool and select the pace line (with some other things taken into consideration-Tandem/Form/Class) that best represents today's predicted pace line.

Another question I have is to how APV%/Class is used in the BL calculations?

I’m on part one and my thought is that I will have other questions, so I hope I’m not covering old topics, but if I am can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks, Mike
