position or lengths
Which horse if any would you think would get the lead out of the gate?

2nd call is where to determine the front: TOO much can happen from the break to the 2 furlong call to tell who might be first here. The break is one of the most variable aspects of any race and can change things completely.
If that first call were real important, it would be a mainstay of the methodology and is isn't. |

If the first call wasn't important you would be able to ignore it and nowhere in methodology is the 1c ignored by Doc, Brohamer, Bradshaw etc, etc
The race starts when the Gate opens, this is when The Match Up begins

I don't think your question can be answered from the info, but if anyone knows different, then fire away

Charlie,I really didnt want to get into a discussion on who is right or wrong. If that is Tim's opinion then I respect that just like I do yours. There is no one way of looking at a race the main thing is that it works for you.

Richie,I guess I should have just posted this in the 1st place. These 2 were the only early horses in the race. For the 5 I used 2nd race back and for the 6 I used the last line.

To my eye the 5 is a pure early horse. 2 wins both wire to wire. Each race he had open lead at the 1c and 2c. The 6 is not an early horse but can run early. When he doesn't go early he presses fast. With the 6 in the race the 5 no way no how gets his open lead at either call. Throw the 5 right out for the win. 6 beats the 5 heads up. NO clue the result big bro.
