MNR 4 Nov 05

If I don't use any off track lines, I have 3 Genera as dominant early.

1 1/2 length lead at Str vs 2 and 6.

vs OTE

4 too far back against pace
7 and 8 OTE in sprint, slow early in route

5 JeffA only OTE that shows OTE form. Passes horses and gains lengths 2nd to Str - Str to Fin in both sprint and route. Not a full second faster to 6f in sprint, though. Will have to be a big stretch runner to win, but is faster than 3 matching 8f lines to Fin.

Making two horse win bet 3 and 5.

My Winning Group:
(3,8)

Todays Projected Pace:
46.1/112 (these are adjusted times)....not pure old school matching I know...

Early Scenario:
The 3 should dominate but I predict the 8 to catch for reasons below.

Tandems:
Last race in the slop the 3 was trounced by the 8 and I could see no excuse for the 3 so I demoted him.

Conclusion:
Bet the (8). I expect it to be odds on (less than 5/2 which for me means a pass.)

By the way Mikey,

Kudos for your excellent performance in the contest at Pace Advantage! How you had Karakontie in The Mile I do not know, but I do know it was not through matching.
Happy spending!

Going to keep firing until I hit one.

I'm going to use the tandem from the last race for the 3, 6, and 8. The fractions go 23.2 47.2 1:14.1 1:42.0. I think it will go slower than that because of the lack of early speed.

With the 2 and 7 out, the only speed is the 3. The problem is the 3 is not getting on top of the fractions he used to dominate. I think the race will be won by a 2nd or 3rd position horse at the first call. That puts me on the 6 or the 8. In the tandem race, the 6 was ahead of the 8. The 6 also showed some fight in that race.

The 6 is my choice.
