2010 - Year of the Matchers! - 6f
Let's go to Santa Anita's poly for this one. This is race 8 on the card going off at around 6:30 PM tonight eastern. Gives everyone a chance to "recover" from the festivities!
Want a nice little tune to play VERY softly in the background when you start your work? Maybe you will like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlvUe...CD84CA&index=1 Same setup as previous days with tandems being shown on middle tab. What I think is really good is that all of you are really putting some thought into your pre race posts so that when you win folks can see what your thinking was BEFORE the race ran. This is how folks learn ok? They pick up a little thought or wrinkle they might have overlooked and that helps them going forward. Collective feedback and learning. Good thing is it also helps YOU when you express what you are doing. "Mind's Eye" reinforcement if you will. Very powerful. Race conditions and pps Good skill and have FUN matching

#2 Bubbly Blonde @ 5-2 or above.
Wins as E and OTE. Fighter and has a couple of nice power moves in it's PP.

This is how folks learn ok? They pick up a little thought or wrinkle they might have overlooked and that helps them going forward. Collective feedback and learning. Thanks, Rich. And... when we win we owe our thanks to the Hat,, as well as to you for your teaching here of his concepts...All the best to everyone in the New Year! Now, to the race... 1- Sus 2- E/P shows she can win ote in line 2 and ran a fast early race last out 22.2 44.5 5- sus 6- has shown several styles, not sure about this one 8- Ear 22.5 on the poly, faster on the turf 9- Pre 10- E/P 22.2 12- Ear 21.9 3 back on poly. last 2 show she might becoming a slower early horse 13- won ear and sus 14- P/S Of the several early runners I feel that #2 has a tactical advantage. Her pace of race from the last line stacks up very well vs the others, and her 2nd line shows she can sit back and win if needed. I'll stick with #2. Good luck... |

Yodelady O
One of the worst hangers on the west coast. Never wants to pass and certainly has never shown the ability to run against the grain. Until her last race. Take her @ 5:1 or greater. |

This race a real head scratcher. Probably decided at the break!
1 - S -slow and out 2 - Has won as E, but can't outrun #12 early; needs large open lengths as leader;appears slower as a P 5 - SP or S - in tandem with 12, could pick up if pace breaks down 6 - P Lost in tandem to 8 and 10 Out 8 - Another that has won E, but can't win if E; must run as P 10 - EP - won't take lead and should track, 12 - E - pace horse at 21.9 and 44.4 13 - E or P: enuf works to go ahead with this race; if E this is the horse that cooks the 12; pressed but did not win in his second back 14 - Ugh, 3rd in tandem with 12 and 5 Several horses have won on the lead, but have to run as pressers today and their presser lines aren't very good. If 12 receives little challenge, he could wire field. Many could and I suspect one or more might try. If 12 cracks, I'll take the 10 and 5, in that order and box all three Happy New Year to all, |
