just like the circus
Itinerant people helping each other at a tough game. Sound like the circus? well it is on the backside: 1st cousins are feed representatives, uncles are in the horse transport game, brothers are grooms or vets.
If you have never been back there, get someone to get you a pass and savor the atmosphere and dodge the poop on the ground. As competitive as it is, these people are sternly in this thing together. One fellow lost his particular bit, another guy loans him his. Bill's brother is a young farrier learning the game, he gets a chance with family first. Can't quite pay the feed/vet bill? My sister will help you with your computer program. It is a big family back there. They look out for one another, AND, unfortunately for outsiders, NEPOTISM reigns big time.
