Question

What do you guys guess is the percentage of bettors out there that even look at the "left side" of the racing form other than seeing if the horse is speed?

I still cant believe that for 30 years of my handicapping there was a simple method like The Match -Up...

yesterday's Turfways 3RD race...would have got me wrong ALL the time

I would have add a tick to the #7 horse and say he was the speed cause his quarter time would have been faster than the #6...as the race was ran, the 7 did get out fastest but assumed his comfortable postion and let the 6 get his 1 lt lead in 22.4...the rest was history!! $13.80

it amazes me each time I see it

Nice example Mike.

Other factors to consider are the 6 had 2 nice workouts while getting a rest off big maiden win. The 2nd time lasix trainer stat is not insignificant.

The clincher that sinks the 7 is that it is susceptible to a bounce off the maiden win after the long layoff. This 3yo still has upside and is a serious contender next time out in his third off layoff bounce back race. He is set up for a bigger number next out. A good candidate for stable mail horse to watch.
