NewPace: Trackmaster vs Adjusted SR
My understanding is that both use the Trackmaster speed rating as their base, and that the adjusted rating incorporates the variants as defined in Configuration settings.
For anybody using NewPace, do you use the standard Trackmaster rating or the adjusted rating? |

glue, I'm just talking RDSS, not New Pace.
Absolutely I click on adjusted, but NOT FIRST. After going through the entries with an overall ORIGINAL exam I go back to choose a paceline and work the fractions for each to make my POR. I go back through again to compare those numbers to the numbers of each paceline while noting running line position to get adj times. At this time I might decide some of those I want to eliminate as WIN contenders. Then I go through the matchups and write those down on my pen and paper workup. NOW I click on the ADJUSTED tab (which hides my POR tool) and go from there through energy, EL, segs, and BL. All that produces the info I want on my paper edition to proceed with my wagering decision/s. I think the adjusted screen is the best thing about the software because that is where the calculations for track deviation, beaten lengths, difference in surface, etc. etc. take effect. Without it you are making your decision based pretty much on raw numbers. IMO, without the adjusted screen doing it's job you haven't accomplished much of anything by using the software. Notice the change in your paceline readouts that happens when you go from ORIGINAL to ADJUSTED? Big change in perspective.

My apologies borodin. I misunderstood the topic as when I clicked on it I only saw glue's post. Sorry.
