Contenders 1,2,3,5. Eliminated #7 My Hat because of no turf route lines.
2 shows to be in front. Toss the 2. |

Comes down to 1,3,5. Which will be more comfortable positionally? They all look not too bad.

These are the best turf races of the three. This is a maiden so these can only be so good. Positions of 4th and 6th at the first call.

Those races place the three horses thus. 3 looks to have the advantage.

3 is the ML favourite and looks to be bet down but this isn't about odds. It is about trying to develop a paceless race method using The Hats stuff mixed with modern software tools.

Having said that the 5 is very close to the 3 and would make an acceptable 2nd bet.

#7 does take the lead with #2 right behind. They both give it up late stretch to a non contender which I would never get. The race ran in a fairly predictable way with a contender #1 getting up for second at a price only a head out of first. The result was chaotic. These are generally chaotic races. However some semblance of a consistent approach is emerging.

From the three latest paceless races, winners and place horses have been in the final groups of contenders. Here is a look at first call positional preferences in their best efforts.

RP4: #9 WON - good price
DEL2: #6 WON - low price MNR3: #1 PLACED - good place price In the vicinity but being on the one or two right ones enough of the time? Don't know. Seem to be heading down the right path. Need more races. Will continue to look. Pook |
