Class Level Hierarchy
I am trying to understand the class hierarchy at my local track. Listed are the class level carded. I would appreciate any feedback, if I have rank/group the class levels in the correct grouping?
Please see attached excel file Thanks |

Hi
Naturally you have a Grade 1 3 + as a 1 rank You have a state bred 100 Stakes for 3+ also as a 1 Since both are 1's are you saying these two classes are comparable? If I'm reading this correctly are you saying If the ran a grade 1 race at your track The horses from the state bread 100 stakes race would have a chance if they went into the Grade 1 race too. I would probably move the OPEN 10 claimers 3 + into a higher group Bill |

Thanks Bill, the reasons for my inquiry on class levels is I am making a model of my track by surface/distance. I only have one year of data so I am grouping all the graded stakes as one. I will break out any class level into its own group once I have minimum of twenty races.
I will move the open 10k into group 6. Are the SA, OC and MC in the correct group? |
