EVD 1st -- Thursday, Feb. 2

#9 Little Dirty Herty is the obvious horse at 5/2. However, the horse has a slight knock -- she can't run to 1F par. That probably doesn't mean much at the mile distance. On the other hand, I'm not wild about seeing a favorite with any knocks at all, unless I anticipate betting against her. I'd say this horse is vulnerable. Is it a hide? Good question. Dunno. This is the horse to beat though. That seems pretty clear.

#1 Skooch Over is a live contender at 8-1. She's the back class of the race and her trainer shows a positive R.O.I. on second time route. She's got the third best Total Energy. So, she's definitely live.

#8 All Lucky Fab has a shot at 12-1. She's coming back in two weeks and the trainer likes to do that with hot horses. She's got the second best Total Energy. Her supplemental velocities are nothing to write home about, but still...12-1 is 12-1.

#7 Diamond And Gem's is the bomb at 20-1. She's the second best closer in the race which could be important if the 1, 9, 3 and 5 duel themsevles into defeat.

#6 Deputy Valentine is the best closer in the race. At 5-1 she doesn't excite me though.

I'll probably bet #1 and another horse to win. We'll check the odds.

Last night in the slop every 8f race was one by one of the top 2 late horses in the race. If that holds tonite you have some real real live bombs matey!
