RMATH Key Horse Survey
I decided to do a survey on Richies' key horse angle. For those not familiar with the key horse here is what Richie used. Any horse with the following rankings either on the CSR/VDC side or the PL/BPP side was a key horse.
1-1 1-2 2-1 Richie gave the PL/BPP SIDE preference. Ok so I charted 100 Key horses at the following tracks PARX.MVR, & Aqu. Here are the results HORSES WINS PLACES SHOWS OUTS 100 27 18 13 42 So you can see that the key horse was in the ex 45% of the time and the tri 58%. Not too shabby. All these ranks are found on the RX screen however with the current TS problems only VDC & CSR are showing. For those who don't have direct access to TS go to the RDSS Desk top screen and at the bottom of the screen click on the TS tab. This will take to the TrackS running that day. Click on the track you want then click the class tab where you can get the BPP #S. Then click on either the basic tab or advanced tab and you will get the PL #S there. Just a little more work then normal but I believe well worth it. Tim

You are welcome. It is what Richie was doing with the 4 number approach before his passing and what Doc would have wanted us to do ie help each other win.

Thanks Tim Richie was all about the giving and sharing of information that he spent amassing and correlating. Too good a guy to be gone so soon

You are welcome Darryl. Richie was indeed a class act always willing to help anyone who asked him. I am proud to have had him as a friend for over 30 yrs and thankful for the last several yrs we spend working together before his untimely passing.

One other point. I assume you mean that the TS tab is the Twinspires logo on the bottom of the screen.
When you get to either tab, if you right click the Class, Basic or Advanced tab and the horses will be ranked in order top down or bottom up. Oh yes, and many thanks Tim for all your efforts with this info. Bill Last edited by Bill Lyster; 11-22-2023 at 10:51 AM. |

Thanks for the further explanation on the TS button. Bill I'm just carry on the work that Richie did and was sharing before his passing. He was such a devoted person and believed it was his duty to share his success with the group just as Doc, Hat & the other teachers did for us yrs ago. We would get together, by phone, every day trying to come up with new improvements. I was so glad we got together at Sar one last time. I just hope folks that are struggling will take advantage of his work to help them win. . He was a true winner.
