Welcome to Derby Week. The DRF version of the Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby PP's appear in their own dedicated folder under the races of interest folder in the pace and cap main menu. The whobet version for each race appears below.

Kentucky Oaks: (Run at 5:49PM EST Friday)

http://www.brisnet.com/php/bw_pdf_vi...param3=1485055

Kentucky Derby: (Run at 6:34PM EST Saturday)

http://www.brisnet.com/php/bw_pdf_vi...param3=1485055

To maintain Pook's sanity in grading this thing, post matchup challenge choices in this thread ONLY.

Tomorrow, I am going to look for two or three more races which will be run Saturday and/or Sunday at CD or other tracks.

Hope this hasn't been too confusing. Enjoy the great weekend of racing.

Tim

The links above to the whobet PP's don't seem to be working. For now, use the DRF PPs.
Sorry for the confusion.

Two races for Saturday

Here's a race with early fighters from SA at 5f on the dirt: Post time 2:30 PM EST

05-02 SA 1st.PDF

This next race is on the turf at a mile from Tampa. There appears to be reliable early speed here. There is no rain in the forecast for Tampa the next couple of days. Post time 3:15 PM

05-02 tam 6th.pdf

I may try to find a race for Sunday.

May 1/15 Churchill Downs Race 11

I'm thinking that the Early runners will be compromised and that #12 and #10 will be best positioned to take advantage. Also the #12 has a very impressive FPLR.

KY OAKS

12 and 8. I think the trouble the 8 had last out might have added a new dimension to how this horse runs. Gotta like the fact that the 12 won off a 113 and a 110 splits coming from off the pace.

CD Race 11 - Oaks

I also agree that there will be some early pressure, and the winner will have to pass a few horses and have shown to be able to do that against a fast pace.

No better here than #12. #7 closes from 3rd, so same argument. It is important that both these earned their Top 2 BL/BL ranking (for me) on G1 races. FWIW, so did #6 in that last race tandem with #7 G1 Ashland Stakes (KEE). But the #7's Big Win style finish, for me, gives her the nod.

Thus #12 and #7 = my selections.

(Considering 12-7-6 in an exacta.)

Ted
