Had a great day at CT today in the rain, no less...

Thanks, but when RDSS 2 gets the trifecta in the top 3, I can't take too much of the credit

The trifecta for the last race, paid for RDSS and my trackmaster subscription for the year. I really like this software if you can't tell...

Not

Really Dan. Rdss just computes the pace lines you enter. The most important pace handicapping is choosing the right lines. So whatever method you are using to choose pace lines is spot on.

Hi Bob,

For rainy days, I look for good recent form, so I try to use the last line whenever possible in the slop. My idea is that if a horse is fit and in form, the off track won't bother him much, but if he isn't in shape, he will tend to quit on the jockey.

I appreciate the complement. I have been working on getting better at picking pacelines for 25 years now, and I have improved, mostly as I get older, I don't overthink the process as much.

There are still tracks I have a hard time on, like Delta Downs, so I try to stick to tracks where my paceline selection seems to work.

I wonder if anyone has tried a random sampling of races using RDSS mechanically... my guess is that it would show a small profit, even without analysis. The Ragozin sheets showed a flat bet profit used mechanically, and I think our pace software probably is better than even the best speed approach.
