Racing in Vegas

I am thinking about going on vacation to Vegas in August. I checked on WiFi in the Flamingo, they have it in the rooms, but no laptops allowed in the Sports Betting area and no WiFi in the casino. ( I called and that's what they said)
If I have to, I can run the whole card on RDSS in the room, then go down and race.
I was hoping to bring my laptop with me and do any last place changes, then bet, or spot play multiple tracks.
Any Ideas or experience with this.
Thanks Don

Don:

You could always fund an account with twinspires and bet in your room thru them. They pretty much accept bets on all tracks....

Kinda takes away from the Casino experience, but the noise level is MUCH better and its easier to concentrate.

Good luck.

Don, ask the Belagio or the Bally racebooks. When I was there 2 years (?) ago I swear I accessed the wireless in each one. Maybe it was my own wireless hotspot on my phone, but I recall it was the racebook's.

It looks like Treasure Island allows lap tops but no WiFi, I called and asked,
but I don't think RDSS will work with out I WiFi connection. Can I load the card with a connection (in my room) then run RDSS not connected?

Sure RDSS will work without a wifi connection.

Send a PM to member 'El Santo' (Harry S). I believe he's at the TI as we speak, on vacation, using RDSS. He can tell you what's what currently at that racebook, and perhaps with others.

Don..go to Best Buy and buy a cheap printer for your laptop...and print your stuff out..I do that when I travel...doesn't take up that much extra room....Best Buy will program it for you..and make sure that it works

Thanks, I still looking and calling to checking hotels to see if I can bring my laptop in the sports book. Since I can run the cards ahead of time, I don't mind working a race with out a connection, but it would be nice. I will IM Harry S and maybe get more information. Thanks Ted and all for the replies. Keep them coming I have not booked a hotel yet.
Thanks

Try the Cosmopolitan as well. Sports book has a great racing section.

I've seen a few pro handicappers there (familiar names and faces) during my last two visits.
