Past Performance Mis-information between Spec160 vs. RDSS
Ted:
I have noticed the following on two races in Belmont’s card for today 7/14/07: 1. In race # 1, horse #3 Heaven’s Flame: Spec 160 has pace line #6 as the #1 ranked Perceptor line and RDSS for the same horse has line #3 as the #1 ranked Primary. If you look closely the race dates and conditions do not match? I use Brisnet as my past performance printing source and the races match up as to Spec 160 but not RDSS (Trackmaster). 2. In race #8, horse #9 Carnera (same thing again as above): Spec 160 has pace line #7 as the #1 ranked Perceptor line and the RDSS for the same horse has line #9 as the #1 ranked Primary. Again the race dates and conditions do not match up. Thanks, Robert |

Belmont - 7/14
Race 9 - "Carnera" - Rdss is missing the August 5th 2006 paceline from Saratoga
Race 1 - "Heaven's Flame" - Rdss is missing the October 7th 2006 Fort Eire 6f Stakes race Can't speak to Spec as I don't have it

odds
Hi
Is it the race 280 days ago I see it has no number for the going off odds on Val 4 wonder if it was a non starter? much the best comment stricken from the records ? Pay no attention to the horse who just won |

Yes the problem seems to be missing information that is only missing as of RDSS in each case. That is Spec 160 is in fact picking up the races but RDSS is not. Brisnet pp's does show the races in question which Spec 160 is seeing but as already stated is being missed for whatever reason by RDSS. Thanks, Robert |

In both these cases, it turns out that RDSS did actually omit the line because the ODDS were 0.00. In the case of the missing FE line, I checked the Result Chart and ALL the odds for all the horses were shown as 0.00. In the case of the #9 Carnera in Race 8, the missing Saratoga line also showed 0.00 Odds for that horse only from the Result Chart for that race.
RDSS has a condition it applies when it retrieves lines for a Past Performance, and that is Odds should be greater than 0.00. I need to change that, to accomodate situations like these 2. The lines are otherwise valid, and were indeed supplied by TrackMaster (as Val and Spec show them fine) just omitted by RDSS. If you have Val or Spec, you can see those lines if you want to evaluate them, but they're both far enough in the past that it's not that big a deal that they are omitted. I added this to the Bug List. Ted
