GPW Friday - 11/25 - Race 8 Paceless Turf Route

Here is race 8 tomorrow at GPW. Posting it because it is a paceless turf route and I know at least a couple of Matchers who like these

Field of 10 before scratches and of the 95 pacelines showing only ONE line has a runner been on the lead at the first call!!

Post time is showing 4:07 PM Eastern time.

Any and all feedback, comments are always welcome!

Here is what I ended up with. Looks like the 9 will be positioned closest to the pace and could romp, but I will back it up with the 8 my version of the best closer.

My pace line choices might surprise some, but i refuse to use a high adjusted speed rating that comes from a high negative DTV. I try to use the closest line with an adjusted speed rating from the range where the horse usually runs. For a view of this way of choosing PLs look at the adjusted speed ratings and see how often the highest is repeated. Most of the time the ASR's of successive races are much different than the highest. If the horse runs back to its highest, good on 'em

Its all about the moonlight.

8 is scratched.

The tandem on Nov 8 provides a pace to match against. Moonlight Salsa ran the fastest against that fastest pace last race. Moonlit Sonnet's last race was fast from the Meadowlands but that adjusts slower.

23.6/47.6/112.4
Does anybody want the lead? Should slow it slightly to
23.8/47.6/112
The slower first fraction should yield a faster third with a maybe overall faster final time.

Against this projected pace only 2,6,9,10 have run well. The 6 and 9 are pressers. The 2 and 10 come from farther back. The 9 will probably lead but might not relish it. Or vice versa. In any case it will run OTE with 6 and 9 closest to the pace.

6 and 9 to win. Moonlit or Moonlight, I'm hoping I get mooned!

It's all about the "Pook"!!!!! Tremendous work nailing the $27 dollar bomb. You're the man and I'm a fan!

Big thanx to both you and Bill for chiming in.

My god look at the fractional times! The first call was three seconds slower than the tandem from Nov 8 at the same track. 8.5F verses 8F, both around two turns. Its like the horses were all talking to each other saying "Do you want the lead? No go ahead...after you". The 10 inherits it and seems to be running fast, but three seconds?!

In any event the moon did end up shining brightly in the afternoon.
Thanks Richie and Bill,

Pook
