I think with the time and effort you have spent on the match-up that you would be a great addition to are weekly match-up crew!

Thanks again, Mike
Yo Wilbur...Mikes right. With your experience you should do the weekly match-up with us. We need more players.

Here is the race of the day from Equibase Parx Race 1. It is for Beaten Claimers so not the best animals around.

My assessment is throw out the 1 and 2 as being too slow. The 3 and 5 are the speed of the race, with the 5 getting fractions of 23.7 and 48.9 to lead to the first call, but can compete at a second call of 1:15 the 3 will catch him at by the second call with a 49.3 first call and 1:14.7 second call. The 3 has shown he can pass horses. The 4 and the 6 are both pressers, but they have been running against slower times. I would chose the 3 to win handily.

Quick work up

#3 should win this with #4 being the class. Normally at this class level it's unlikely to win three in row.

If you haven't seen it yet, some members here have done an incredible job of summarizing those early threads. On the main menu, scroll down to the Sartin Methodology Library, and look at the last category there, "Discussion and Member Contributions". The first post under that heading is about the Match Up.

Better pack a lunch.

Thanks Mike,

I did see that document, and am about half way through it. There are some of the PP's that are not linked into the PDF file so I need to go find the right thread to be able to work the examples. It is still a great document to have!!
