It is a little warm here at Del Mar
The word is Early Pace
( for what that is worth)

Here are my notes

Horse 1 Hillhouse High 4 for 25 Last two tries against grade 2 comp, were duds although
line 1 rates well She was never beaten in the race by more than 2.6 lengths
line 1 for rating, She has no wins showing at over 1 mile

Horse 2 Kiss Me Now 3 for 10 Foreign horse, Only has 1 race with a usable N.A. paceline
Shows two grade 1 wins from someplace called CJD

Horse 3 Decked Out 3 for 16 Sustained Line 1 is a plus Grade 1 win line at today's distance but she is coming off a 245 day layoff. Line 3 is from DMR so I will use it for rating.

Horse 4 Cambodia 5 for 12 Early Presser Always run plus races, She has run 9 plus races in a row all on the turf
Line 1 She comes in fresh with good works.

Horse 5 Madame Stripes (Arg) 3 for 12 Presser Another very consistent runner 8 plus races in the 10 showing
Line 1 Off 43 days ago but works are fantastic last 4 @ 7 furlongs.

Horse 6 Mrs.Mcdougal 5 for 12 Presser Line 1 is a plus race but only against restricted stakes comp.

Horse 7 Lady Valeur 5 for 17 Early Presser Line 1 is a plus win line but only against 50 Stakes comp at SR
Shows no wins against graded competition in back class

Horse 8 Barleysugar (IRE) 3 for 14 Presser Line 1 is a win line Shows 1 win at 9 furlongs on the turf

Horse 9 Pretty Girl (ARG) 4 for 12 Sustained Line 1 is a plus line against grade 2 comp.
Fresh, off 28 days but so/so workouts

Horse 10 Insta Erma 20/1 ML 3 for 12 This one gets G. Stevens which should help.
She has no wins showing against graded comp or anything longer than 7 furlongs

Horse 11 Amboseli 2 for 15 Sustained Typical deep sustaiand type runner Line 1 is a plus show effort
but She just is always too far back to win Line 1

Horse 12 Frenzified (GB) 20/1 5 for 19 Early Presser Today's distance should be no problem
But she has no graded wins only a couple stakes wins No recent plus lines to rate
second race after a 184-day layoff. She hung around, She was never really beaten by much in line 1


Horse 13 Goodyearforroses (IRE) 7 for 17 Presser Very strong consistent contender.
She shows 5 wins and a second ( line 1 ) she has won a grade 2

My contenders:

12 -- second after layoff, been running early or presser lately, worth a few shekels at 20-1 ML

11 -- second after layoff, came back in form, value at 12-1 ML

6 -- second after layoff, poor last race, but competitive if runs back to races before layoff

9 -- second after layoff, will be closing

13 -- blinkers on, dropping from G1 stakes, first after layoff, should be pressing for lead by 1/2 mile call, wins the race if runs back to last race figures, but no value at 7/2 ML
